I have started a new project that will be published on this site over the coming weeks. A series of tuition videos, produced by me, will be uploaded to YouTube, allowing people to learn the basics of how to play the piano.

I have made a minor change to feature display on the front page. The code function now cycles through images intermittently with a seven second interval. I have also fixed the registration interface, allowing for smoother and more optimized usability.

Dragonball Z: Stick Saga Remake/Restart

Production on Dragonball Z: Stick Saga has restarted. After a couple of years out, I have started to animate again. This action comes as a response to me completing my degree studies. More information will be posted over the coming weeks.

Interface Update 02/07/2010

A site update has been scheduled for Friday 2nd July 2010 at 0100hrs, with a number of optimizations to the site interface. Check the associated event entry for more detailed information. The site will be down for approximately 4 hours while the new code is implemented.

Database Error (Resolved)

The works list is temporarily disabled while updates are uploaded to the database. Update 1:34pm 05/03/2010: I have resolved the issue with the works list. It was a minor fault that occurred since linking the portfolio with my biography site! Everything is in order now and running as usual!

Welcome Back!

DC Composition

I present to you an upgraded user interface in the form of �VnA v0.9.8�. At the moment there are a few nice things that can be seen around the site, including the nifty music player on the front page. I will let you explore and find the upgraded features for yourself. The site has been taken out of down time earlier than planned as I have finished before schedual. There are little tweaks and fixes to come over the coming weeks, also with the re-release of the forum with v0.9.8.1. As always, if you spot any bugs, post them in the comments below!

Site downtime 11/02/2010

I have taken the site offline, while I implement changes to the code. The initial duration of the downtime will be from 1900 hrs on 11/02/2010 GMT, until 0000 hrs 13/02/2010 GMT. The changes being applied are quite substantial and will make large portions of the site inoperable. Please watch this space for more information while the site is being upgraded! Update 5:39pm 12/02/2010: The forum has been taken offline and will remain offline indefinitely. At the moment it is the most unsecure part of the site, and the new code has highlighted a few security flaws that need to be addressed before service can be resumed. The majority of the new code has been implemented successfully. Last minute checks are being made to the site.

Charity Recital Rescheduled!

Here�s a bit of an update for your diaries! My charity piano recital at St Edwards Church has been pushed back a couple of weeks to Sunday 25th April 2010 at 7:30pm. This is because of a mix up with the event team at the church! Look forward to seeing you there! Dylan

Browser Compatability!

I have been testing the site with a few web browsers to see how the compatibility fares. At the moment, there are notable design faults with browsers using the IE (internet Explorer) browser, with the least errors from in the Gecko (Firefox) browser. I have found that the homepage does not load when using Safari. Over the coming weeks, I will be preparing to upload site version 0.9.8, with hopefully these errors fixed. If you find any more errors with your browser, please post them in the bugs forum topic!

Minor Interface Update!

Code Updates I have given the site a much needed update. I have tweaked and optimized the code quite a bit making it run a little faster. Categories! I have created categories for my works list and videos. Downloads! The works list has been completely overhauled. Not only are they now categorized, but you can also download media. As a result some features have been removed. You can now listen to the MP3 file on visiting the works page, but the midi file will only be available now for download. PDF files will also be available for download, giving the works list a more flexible approach to distribution & performances. Not all of the pieces will be free however meaning you will need to purchase those pieces in the store.

Final year at university and I am extremely busy. So much work to do, apart from the composition for my course, I have been restricted in my own work. I look forward to the days when I can focus again. Here�s a little update: Just finished some commissions which are always nice for the bank! I will upload some of them at a later date this year. My major scores are being transcribed for publication. Because of this, I will update the works page with a new section for the published material. The current set up will stay as it is but I will re-write the code for it so there will be a separate section for both �student� and �published� works. For now, I will continue trying to do research for my dissertation with no internet and limited access to books�*scoff*�wish me luck.

Upcoming Concerts!

Concerts are being planned for next year. A number of them are collaborative with other musicians in Colchester. Some of the larger concerts are solo piano including works by Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich, including the premiere of John Scott Cobb�s Sonata in D Minor, and some of my own compositions. Watch the events list over the coming weeks for more information regarding the concerts.

A Facebook page has been created allowing fans to join a page on that site. I am going to continue trying to publicise myself and this site through similar sources through composition portals like that found at Piano Society.
